Prayer Guide

Praise the Lord for His nature and character:

The Lord is my righteousness
The Lord who makes me holy
The Lord is our peace
The Lord who is present
The Lord who is our healer
The Lord is our provider
The Lord is our protector
The Lord my shepherd

Praise the Lord for His activity in our church:

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.”Psalm 127:1
You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house.” 1 Peter 2:5

Help open our hearts and minds to your Holy Spirit.
Enable us to be attentive to you word, and respond to your guidance and direction.
Give us a spirit of wisdom, generosity and perseverance
Focus on giving glory, honor and praise to the Lord
Build us into a spiritual community of faith materially, relationally, and spiritually
We ask that You would gently remind us that You know our needs and You
are our provider. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and
trust that in You we will never lack anything that we need.

“Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth where moth and
rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up
for yourselves treasures in Heaven where moth and rust do not
destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where
your treasure is, there your heart will also be.”
Matthew 6:19

That God would take our gifts, great or small, and do great things with them.
Help us to ask, what can we give back?... our time… our talent, …our treasure?
What is the right answer for each of us?
To seek the help of your Holy Spirit to help each person with their decisions concerning this capital campaign.

Help gifted men and women to be filled with Your Holy Spirit, bringing them wisdom and discernment in the details of this project. We desire to grow like You in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.

“I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:13

Be with us and help us always to remember that community is a gift to us from you.
Grant that we may be united with one another in the mission and ministry you have given us. Help us to ask for nothing self-seeking in return as we lend our hearts, souls, minds, and strength to Your work.
We ask that we would become like You in Your humility. We ask that we would learn to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but that in humility we would consider others better than ourselves.
Give us a greater cause than our selfish desires. Help us desire greater things: the salvation of friends, the pursuit of community with one another, and life that You bring.

“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made
known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ
Jesus“ Philippians 4:6

To trust that God has planned for us more than we can ask, or even imagine.
That God would quiet our fears and help us with any concerns we may have about this campaign.
That we may know and experience the peace and the abundant life that Jesus calls us to
Give us Your heart. Make Your desires ours.

“Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not
reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And God is able to provide you with every blessing in
abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you
may share abundantly in every good work.’
II Corinthians 9:7

For us to be filled with cheerful hearts, as we respond to the opportunity before us.
Move us to generosity in your love as we dedicate ourselves to the
work You have entrusted to us.
We ask that You give us insight into our possessions, and that in laying down our possessions that we would become like you in Your sacrifice.
We ask that You help us to give our money sacrificially to build your kingdom.
